So a 3 way active would be the best to do?

If I didn't have those damned 6x9"s in my doors.

What is the best thing to do depends on possible locations, your experience, the amount you want to spend, the processing you have now / you want to buy...

3-way front + sub is a nice idea but do you have the processing power ?

I did drive a Challenger SRT a coupl weeks ago, but just for chits and giggles

your thoughts?

Hell of a lot of fun, but it is too heavy. Sort of the same problem with the S6. I miss my 944T. Perhaps I should be buying a Lotus as a second car and keeping the truck.

not much feels light these days with all of the safety requirements there are now

orange, red, yellow, green

danger and a stop light

must be bad news

How are you liking your Icon 10's after this amount of time so far?

well ya see i havent even heard them yet

i have been driving around for awhile with out any bass:(

but i finished up my battery box today, and should have everything in tomorrow :woot:

but im sure they will sound excellent!

Build log in the future?

for sure

its pretty much a pop & go with the sub box which used to hold the SD-10s v1s

let me see if my old build log is still around.

i will update it when i get done :)

Denim, let me tell you about this guy. He had the 2 10" Icons AND a box ready to go atleast 2 or 3 months before I even purchased my Icon or box. We both had to run 1/0 and I had to finish deadening my doors while he had to add an extra battery.

Needless to say I have been listening to my Icon AND my active setup (which I also had to install as well) for a few months now and TMax is still subless.

one word

a girlfriend

Thats 2 words and I got one much better word

Experience with active..... none as far as I know.

This is all confusing lol

I think I'll just stick to cramming power down the throats of Coax speakers lol

There is a huge learning curve. i have been running the same DLS speakers for about 3 years and just converted them to active about 3 months or so ago I think. With active I have been able to push the midbass to much more potential while also crossing them over a little lower to deal with the fact that the driver kind of sucks with high power in the upper frequencies. I also can now put a little more power to the tweet to make them a bit brighter.

All of which I couldn't do with passive speakers

Time to learn. If you want to experiment with it :)

Just ordered gears. $955 for front and rear 4.56 w. install kit and Detroit Truetrac for the rear. Called the company for the order and got a break on shipping and a package deal on 4.56 front and rear. I ended up paying $60 less than I expected and got $60 more in parts.

:woot:

My neighbor will install them for $400 total. So that puts me at $1355 and I was quoted $1946 from the original place I was going to do it :) I'll take the savings.

speaking of trucks....

I think one of these might be in my future.

I am going to be bringing down a lot of rust to the bare metal then priming and painting it this summer. The Body is fine, but some of the grills and under body are rough. I plan to drive this truck for another 200K.

=)

My suspension isn't doing so hot in the rear. No clue what to do as it's air ride though. Bigger rubber would be great now too and since I need new tires this year for sure, I think maybe a lift too. I hate spending money before a part breaks though.

I really really wish I would have actually made that call to my broker yesterday and grabbed about 4K in citi group.

*didn't expect to like the soccer mom vehicle, but...*

what did you drive?

mmmm which one?

I drove both of these. Obviously the TS was what got me jumping up and down but after I come to my senses we shall see what happens. There is a normal T in my range in Chitown.
