Went kart racing tonight. It was like real life Mario Kart. My brakes kept locking up and anytime I went into a hard corner, around I went. Punted a few people off the track, so at least I didn't go alone. Switched karts for the second race and I was finally able to do something. I started in the back both times and of course the only person I passed the first time was the guy in front of me, until my first spin. They had this nasty curb on the exit of the last turn leading onto the straight and I kept cutting the corner pushing the exit and I finallly nailed the thing, but there was a pothole conveniently right before the curb. I hit this thing about 25mph and got the cart up on two wheels. Scared the shit out of me when it slammed back down. 1/2" of fiberglass on that seat sure felt like a swift kick to the ass.

Here's where we raced. Pretty sweet track, but of course all the bumps are conveniently located at every corner entry.

Hmm, last to post last night and first to post this morning.

Does anybody have a good design for a structure to raise my center channel above my TV? I bought a tv wall mount about a year ago and used that for a bit in this place, but my new place doesn't want any holes in the walls. Maybe it would help once I got my entertainment center. Although if I go that route, maybe it would be best for me to get an easy color to match. Like straight black.

Hmm, or maybe have Ryan2 build me a huge honkin' entertainment center for my 47-50" TV that has sides and a top built into it to hold the center channel above the TV. Or would that thing just be too big and awkward looking?

Also on the center channel, give me some photos and some dimensions to work with and I can see what I can knock out.

We got done with roofing at 6:30, and then the owners had us stay for food, beer, and bs'ing. They had been drinking since about noon, bunch of ~40yr old folks drunk, it was pretty damn funny.

They sure did cook a mean burger though, it was damn tasty.
