I've found a big-arse powersafe battery (125lbs, 155ah capacity) for very cheap but I don't know how old it is. Looks brand new and it says charge before 09/19/2009. I wonder if that is the end of the 6 month shelf life ?

Only tried it on XP. Did you try to use it with all the software on the disk ? I know there were some that didn't work.

I'll ask the guy who uses it now, maybe he tried it on vista.

yea i've tried all their software, i cannot get it to even recognize the unit through the software (though the drivers install fine and i know i'm using the right port settings)
