Zune HD's are pretty nice, as are the SanDisk players.

I got an 8G Sandisk off Woot for like $20 and love it. I don't really use it other than for when I'm cutting grass, but it's pretty nice. Does video, has a tuner, pics, etc. . .

I also have a SanDisk, I think mine is a 4gig, works just fine, haven't used it in ages but it fires right up and does its thing. Never had a complaint while I used it.

does SanDisk make bigger ones? Im looking for at least 30 - 40 gig

I agree. If you can swing it, I would just get a BB or winmob phone. You will be light years ahead and probably be able to connect with places like pandora in case you want variety you don't have...

.....And you can HOP from the road mang

Get a smaller smart phone. Might as well always carry your music. And yeah I realize you are limited to 16gb, but you can easily carry a spare stick and before you really get accustomed to it begin full a 32gB or larger will be released.
