Posted October 21, 200816 yr So i have started my modified SQ build with a solid front stage going active with an alpine 9887 and mach5 mlis and seas neos all deadened with second skin and now i need a sub stage but i have no idea what to use. I want maybe 2 10s or 1 15 because i would like it to get decently loud but be tight . I listen to rock and rap. I also need another amp somewhere in the 600 watts rms range but im not sure what is good for relatively cheap. My total price range will probably be around 400 i don't really want to go any higher and i don't mind good used equipment. (offers also welcome) space will not be that big of a deal but where i want to build the box is under the rear deck of my 97 Toyota Camry which if i could i would love to do aero ports through the rear 6x9 openings and sub back but im not sure if that would work. Thanks guys any help is much appreciatedi would upload the pic of where the box will be but i dont know how too add themby the way i was looking at the ED 11k.2 and i know ED's build quality is crap but im just looking for a decent but cheap sub Edited October 21, 200816 yr by Amznhalokiller72
October 21, 200816 yr Could get one of the new SI mags, 12". Or Image Dynamics subs, JL Audio W6, or even an Icon.
October 21, 200816 yr On a budget I would reccomend the PartsExpress HF subs. They have lower distortion motors than just about anything out there until you double the price. They are a little over $100 a pop for the 12s....Read about it near the bottom of this page... It measured almost as good as $700 Skaaning model... It probably has lower distortion in its xmax rating (14mm) than just about anything you'll see from most car audio companies....http://www.zaphaudio.com/tidbits/This is if you really care about sound quality as #1.....

October 23, 200816 yr most people's preconceived notions of SQ, SQL, and SPL are wrong, that's why he wants you to describe what you're looking for without using those terms. If you can't take the time to do this for him/us why would we take the time to help you? You gotta help us help you
October 23, 200816 yr Icon D2 with a Rockford Fosgate power t3002. should be around your price range. Has the ability to get loud while sounding good.Just my opinionChad

October 25, 200816 yr who has a front stage that is NOT SQ oriented???More than 99.9% of people.most people's preconceived notions of SQ, SQL, and SPL are wrong, that's why he wants you to describe what you're looking for without using those terms. If you can't take the time to do this for him/us why would we take the time to help you? You gotta help us help youExactly. And your pre-conceived notions are wrong as well. No terms, just descriptions.
