Posted November 5, 200816 yr Im currently wanting to try something new and I was wanting to know what would be a better choice.. I have 2 5000rms amps for each 12" woofer I intend on using. So Im wanting to a setup with 2 12's and its between the AA Mayhem or the Fi BTL 12".. I dont have any dealers of AA in my area and it don't seem like they do much of the speaker customizing like Fi does... So whats everyones input? BTL 12" vs. Mayhem 12"?
November 5, 200816 yr Author Well I figured after volt drop, imp rise and all the other factors roughly 4k~4.5kw.. So yea kinda sorta.. haha
November 5, 200816 yr Author Yeah.. I was thinkin about those as well.. But Steve said the 12" models would be a little while longer than the 15" and 18".. I want to only do 12's
November 6, 200816 yr Do you have a budget or space constraints? I think (4) 10's with 1000+ would be awesome. Or maybe (3) 12's but then the final load would be weird.

I want to only do 12'sYeah, I do remember reading that now that you mentioned it.EDIT: I would go with the Mayhem's. Seems everyone has BTL's. Edited November 6, 200816 yr by abxx

January 30, 200916 yr I have used both -BTL = motor is single larger diameter slugMayhem = triple stacked motor(4) BTL's were 0.7 dB louder vs. mayhems with the same box, same amps, but I did not measure actual power to see if the amps were making more power with the BTL's (Maybe slightly different impedance in the box).Mayhems seem to sound a little smoother. . .Brian
