Posted November 18, 200816 yr I know the icon is not a spl sub, but I was wondering if anyone has had a ssa icon 12 (or other size) in a ported box metered? Just kind of curious as to what kind of decibels my icon can put out.

November 19, 200816 yr I like this Video better.....doors and windows sealed engine off and meter in the exact same spotwith an enclosure tuned at 31hz the next numbers will be higher...I am now running about 2x the power and adding another 10"
November 19, 200816 yr my single 15 will do ~143 @ ~32hz that reminds me, i need to turn my gains up, i still have them low for break in.
November 19, 200816 yr very average for a single 15"..we have a single 15" DD here that hits 148db in a Dodge Neonand I have a single 12" Alpine Type R that does 143.6db at 34hz but it's not at allimpressive compared to a pair of 10" hitting 139-140 in the 20hz range if set up right a single 15" could get louder than 139db at 20hz
November 22, 200816 yr my single 12" ICON, unbroken in, did a best of 132@40hz in a 2ft^3@34hz net enclosure, single 4" port. dowfired under the rear seat of my silverado with ~1kwrms going to it. definitely a subwoofer, very capable of getting loud and will sound great doing it!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
November 22, 200816 yr Admin decent score right there considering it was under a seat down firing in a big cab.
December 14, 200816 yr might as well add this vid to the collection......I won't have the labtop in the car any more during testing...LOL
