I'm in search of some capacitors and after exhausting local stores I need to turn to the internet to find what I need.

I would like to know where is a reputable place to get components at??

I have found a couple places that have what I need and dont have a minimum order amount. Has anybody dealt with http://digikey.com/ or http://www.mouser.com/ ?? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

www.millionbuy.com

www.sonicelectronix.com

www.darvex.com

lol didnt even look at the websites you posted. soz for that

I've dealt with digikey twice. They're excellent.

Almost bought some stuff from digikey. I was impressed with how quickly they replied to my questions about shipping.

I've seen mouser beeing recomemded by someone who used to repair amps. Small capacitors shouldn't be too expensive, give mouser a try :)

Thanks for the info.

Yes it is a USAcoustics, Specifically a USA-2300f. :drink40:

I have made maybe a 100 or so orders with Mouser and Allied Electronics over the years... I have never had a problem..

Also real good luck with Michael Percy for high-end stuff and MECI for surplus caps, heatsinks and transformers....

To make you even more jealous I have a 2200f also. :P

Anyways thanks for all the replies. I ordered the parts from digikey last night and already got the confirmation email this mourning that they received and it was shipped. I have a couple other things that I might need for other projects so I may try some of the others listed, again thanks for the replies.

Good thing your question popped up. Now I know where to search for caps too. Local places don't stock what I need.

I thought it would be a good reference for everyone. A little update got he caps today and put them in already and everything is working great so far.

Story of my little project is my aunt's computer monitor started acting up with a flicker constantly after a power outage. So she gave me the monitor to see if I could do anything with it. So I opened it up and noticed there was some bloated caps on the power supply board.
