I was wondering where you guys get your home theater components. Speakers, amps, crossovers. I am looking @ rebuild my home theater from the ground up and was wondering where everyone shopped for the parts.

Ebay has worked for me. I've also heard good things about audiogon.com

Audiogon is dangerous to the wallet :D Got my preamp from there...

I used the website parts express to build some dayton audio towers, I bought a sub amp there too.

Indeed it is... Got my maggies from there, I try not to visit that site, don't need the temptation. :0

Thanks guys, looking at starting a new hometheater set up. I ll thow some pics in when I get a chance, and once I start the set up

I get my speakers from www.audio-equipment-speakers.com but they are more professional speakers than general home speakers. As for receivers and such I just check out the exact model I want and shop around on the internet to find the best price.

Parts Express for simple amps...(maybe for starters)

But if I was going for something very nice...I'd recommend Crown home theater amps...

As for the actuall subs, Nothing beats a good car subwoofer in a well made enclosure. (watch ohm loads!)

All other speakers I'd have to really shop around or either use several car components..(once again watch ohm loads)

Heck if it's good enough to jam in the ride it's good enough to jam watching movies on the couch! ;)
