HI im a newcomer to fi i wanted to know wich fi speaker would be best for me. i am a daily driver no competions and i listen to everything. Somone told me to get the bl but wanted a wider opinion!!

ps. i have a regular cab truck and i seen ppl put em behind the seat wat is the debt counting speaker and box ( dont trust spec. from past experiences)

what is your budget? how much space do you have behind the seat approximately for the woofer? what kind of electrical upgrades do you have to your charging system? what is your skill level of fabrication? what kind of amplifier(s) do you have/plan to use? what is your overall goal, getting loud or reproducing sound as it was recorded (as these two are mutually exclusive you have to pick one)?

if you can take a second to answer those questions, perhaps even go take some measurements you will get really good answers on this board.

Kicker amps are nice. I, however, would stay away from Hifonics amps. (They don't have much of a good rep around here.) Have you looked into Sundown for your amplifier needs? Also, do you have your heart set on Fi?

Hey, welcome to ssa.

I am getting a regular cab truck with the same amount of space you have for christmas.

I purchased the SSA 10" icon and the sundown sae-1000D. They come in a package and cost about 580 for both shipped.

I am going to be putting them in a box about 1.25 cubes tuned to 32-33 hz.

That might be something to think about.

Check the subs out here - http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/products/icon.html

the width is about 66 in but it would have to stair off and get thinnner as it get to driver side so i can adjust driver seat the way i need it

how do you have 66in i have a dakota and struggle to fit 50in i figured you would have about 48in.

put your seat back were you like it and measure the top and bottom sizes and then measure the width of the truck at its thinnest.

you should be able to fit a 12 so id say an icon 12 with sae1000d for 550 or mach5 ixl12.2.2 with sae1000d for 511 in a box around 2.25cu tuned to 32hz

If you are set on Fi, the SSD is a great daily driver sub woofer.

I used to have a 10'' dual 1 ohm Fi BL behind my seat in my reg cab truck. I'm selling it now, pm me if you're interested.
