Cheap 2ch amp will work

70-100X2@4ohms

Its a DVC 4 so you will have to hook each coil to each channel since most 2champs arent 2 ohm stable

My friend is planning just to buy 1 12 cuz his gf doesnt want it too loud

dewd fo real, u need to regulate and let that girl kno whos the bosss..

if you're stuck with one sub just stick with a 2 ch. amp that does 75-100 watts @4ohms per channel as stated earlier.

no problem, need more help?

since most 2champs arent 2 ohm stable

You mean in mono. It's virtually impossible to find an amp not stable into 2 ohms stereo anymore.

I know that's what you meant, but I just wanted to clarify for him in case he did not know.

And if it were me, I'd pick something up that does around 400 mono @4 ohms, then wire in series for 200@8. It will stive prove flexible enough for a future upgrade. Also, most mono amps are 2 ohm stable. Add to that the efficiency factor of the new digital amps, it's kinda hard to beat.
