Posted March 7, 200520 yr whats the best size for this? i was thinkin like 3 cubes, 30 sq inches of port, 3x10 slot, and tuned around 30-34, i will have anywhere from 6-1000 watts to mess with.
March 8, 200520 yr Edit: I fexxed up on this post. Check my follow up below for the correction3 cubes net is a little large. I would suggest no more than 2.5 cu ft net volume per driver with 600-750wrms. With 750-1000wrms, I would suggest tailoring that down a bit to 1.8-2.0 cu ft net volume. I'd also recommend between 35-40 sq inches of port area, and tuning from 28-32 Hz.Just picked up a new batch of 15's and man they are sexy. Logoless too, as I didn't want to make people wait any longer and that printer was just taking his sweet ass time. In fact, I may even have a batch of logoless 12's comin' in soon too B) .. and the 8's, well the 8's should be here by the first week of May at the latest (keepin' my fingers crossed that I won't eat my words this time around ) Edited March 8, 200520 yr by SoundSplinter

March 8, 200520 yr Author will the next batch have the logo?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>well to my dissapointment, im gunna have to pass for now on an RL-P as i dont have the money for an amp. im going to go with componants/amp combo and when i get money for the other stuff i will be ordering. this sucks, but any opinion on lower end diamond and mb quarts? im runnin a 2.5:2 octane r amp, so its like 80x2
March 8, 200520 yr Whoops... I'm a dork, I was thinkin' of a 12 incher for some reason in my above reply. Please disregard that info, 3 cu ft net for a ported RL-p15 would be just fine! 2.5 cu ft would also suffice, but you probably wouldn't want to go any smaller than 2.25 cu ft with one of those 15's. Sorry about that confusion. About the logo's, I've been playing it by ear. It seems half the people like the logos and half don't, so I don't really feel bad about having an inconsistent theme when it comes to logo'd versus logoless drivers. The printer just wasn't cutting it and I didn't want to let my stock get too low so I put in quite a few orders not waiting for the logo's to come out. Currently I have the following logoless drivers:1 RL-p12 4ohm dvc 4 RL-p12 2ohmer dvc 10 RL-p15 4ohmer dvc 6 RL-i12 4ohm dvc 1 RL-i10 4ohm dvc In the future, I hope to find a new pad printer that can work quicker (or else I will probably just stock up on hundreds of cones at a time), at which point I will likely phase away from logoless drivers. Afterall, that logo is a good promotional device.. and makes for some sexy porn B)
March 8, 200520 yr Author well......im doing things backwards and ordering the sub after all. although i dont know what im amp im gunna run but i guess ill figure it out. im thinkin going dual 2, but dual 4 would work as well because i can do one amp on either side of the sub......hmmm....mike disregard the dual 2 comment in the email, dual 4 is my need.
March 8, 200520 yr how about a sticker that comes with the sub so if we dont want the logo or just want to put the logo in a different spot in the subor even in the car window

In the rare event that you are getting a driver fresh off the line, shipped directly from TC Sounds, you can always send a direct request to me and I'll happily mail out some stickers for you. That said, if anyone wants some stickers and they don't even have a SoundSplinter driver, I'd be happy to oblige so drop me a line if you want some sexy stickyickyickers
March 8, 200520 yr mmm..stickersstickers are fun Im trying to keep my friends car sticker-less ( all the junk that came with his peformance parts) but id definetly slap a SS one on there.

March 9, 200520 yr i got 2 RL-p's... i want some stickers no, but for real, if you would i would like a couple:)
March 9, 200520 yr I think I'm going to pick up a pair of rl-p 12's in about a week or so now. How's the rl-p 12 dual 4 ohm stock? When does the new shipment of logoless 12's come in assuming they will be logoless? I cant really decide whether or not I want a logo. lol. The logoless is so damn sexy, but then again it kind of needs a logo or does it?

March 9, 200520 yr >> How's the rl-p 12 dual 4 ohm stock? >> When does the new shipment of logoless 12's come in RL-p12 D4 stock is painfully low. I have a pending production order for more of them, but that damn printer is just so slow getting the logos on those cones, I just don't understand why it takes 5 weeks to print a logo, especially when you already have the custom pad layin' around from a previous print job So, I will probably give TC the go ahead to make them with logoless black annodized cones asap. I'll know more on estimated availability by this weekend, as I'm heading down to TC today to go do some talkin' (and some surfing with Thilo!)
