this will be my first time buying fi products. i have a 2004 gmc denali that i want to fill.

im pretty much asking what would you choose between the 2?

they will be seeing the same amount of power 3000 rms per btl or 1500 per bl plus whatever more my saz-3000 will put out.

and yes i do have plenty of electrical to handle these

i know the 8 bl's would have alot more cone area but would it be noticeable?

what would you choose?

any input is appreciated

i would go with the 4 18's......if u do the 15's then there r more moving parts which means more chances for problems...

the BL's are great subs... are you talking loosing your back seats too? thats the only way i see you doing 8 bl 15's

Why not do a gang of Q's with the bp power? :)

Sounds like a deal to me. :)

well the 8 15's would have ~1412 sq. in. of cone area and the 4 18's would have ~1017 sq. in. of cone area. in almost every case here, the 15's are going to win. For spl, the 18's do have a higher spl and bl, and may be able to burp a little louder. (this is my thinking) the BL's or Q's especially, are def. more a daily musical woofer, not saying they would play music necessarily louder, but def. with more quality.

I mean exactly what is this setup going to be for?

And how are you planning on installing them?

xmax and bl can help determine what you are looking for is basically what i'm getting at, really bl and spl over xmax, they all can help determine.

get lowwwwwwwwww! :wacky:

wow i didnt notice before that the q's go way lower than the btl's.

how loud would 8 q's be?

also how much can one handle with the bp power option? cause i already have the amps

yeah i realize that the Q's arent as loud as the BLs or BTLs but i love the lowwws and plus it gave me the option to go sealed first and then ported if i wanted to be louder and the only thing i have to change is the box whereas if i got a BL and wanted it luoder i would have to get another sub and another amp and more chit, unless i got a bigger amp at first and had it wired diff but whatever...

MY POINT being is that the Q's will get loud, sound good, and get low as a mother******.

Q's FTW!

DEFINATLY BTL's

4 BTL 15's

They Pond louder and harder and any other 15 i have owned !!!!!

What did your largest system to date consist of? I just ask because if you've never done a system of this magnitude before, it's going to take some SERIOUS planning.

power handling depends a lot on user and install, but basically you are looking at 1500 rms sub with the BP power option.
