Ok i'm trying to get down to around 6-6.5 cubes net. but the dimensions i came up with won't work because the subs will be basically sitting on the ports. I've went over so many different dimensions and they're all coming out to around 7-7.5 cubes after port and sub. I wanna do subs up ports back, will be using 4 4" full length aero's. i've got a max of 24" high 37" wide and 24" deep to work with. Someone give me a hand, as i want to start this build tomorrow. If it matters this will be for straight daily and bass race. Also, it will be going in a 2001 2dr. blazer

Thanks

My setup with a pair of NightShade 15"s used external ports. That's the only way I can fit them and remain below my windown line. Using your dimensions though you can easily do 6ft net volume with the four rear facing ports. The problem will be them being really close to rear hatch. What are you trying to tune this to? With full 17" long ports you're gonna need the box to be at least 22" internal depth which equals 23.5" external when you only have 24" available. In your situation I would go with a slot port firing up on the driver's side.

i actually have a little more then 24" deep available, if i did a full 24" deep that keeps the back of the box about 4.5" awau from the hatch which is as close as i wanna go. sorry for the confusion. as far as tuning i'd like to be somwhere around 33-36hz.

With that being said, what dimensions would work, keeping the ports internal? I saw a vid of yours wangin so i'm glad you chimed in to help!

External 17.5" tall x 37" wide x 22.5" deep

Internal 16" tall x 35.5" wide x 21" deep

6ft net volume w/ four 4" ports 15.5" long tuned to 36hz

External 17.5" tall x 37" wide x 22.5" deep

Internal 16" tall x 35.5" wide x 21" deep

6ft net volume w/ four 4" ports 15.5" long tuned to 36hz

this box would work in my car !!! You don't mind if I try it do you ?

I don't mind. For spl you're gonna want more port area though. Also will it still be below your window line?

yes ..but i would have to fire the port to the side instead of to the back. Because it would be right on the rear of the car. Think I would try 3 -6" ports. What do you think?

yea should find for daily...a alittle low for numbers ?

Not looking for huge numbers. This is primarily a bassrace/daily set-up
