Ok, I will probably have a SAX-100.4 in my hands by Friday. As long as UPS does good work.

What I'm wondering is, if I drop the amp lower then 2 ohm per channel, will it gain much more power? And if I drop it lower then 4 bridged, will that gain noticeably more power?

I'm just wondering here.

It'll poop itself if you drop it below what it's rated at.

This isn't the SAZ series... don't do it.

Why would ANYONE go below rated impedence? More power if any would not be noticable! Stupid in IMO

I was just asking sheeeesh

Sorry to offend, didnt mean it that way. I personally dont even like to run my gear at less than 2 ohms (yes I run a 1500D @ 2 ohms) for SQ sake. Running lower creates too much stress and heat on the amp when you consider the SAX line.

Oh no it's ok lol

I was just wondering, I seem to manage, no matter how hard I try, end up running everything I own at 1 ohm or lower.

If I were into SQ I would run higher, but I like the in your face loud SPL.

Say I did manage to break an amp, who would I send it to?

i'd imagine since you're onboard, jake would take care of you, or you'd send it in to db-r. why not run multiple 100.4's?

I will as soon as I get the $$$$ right.

I just bought a truck $2000

Insurance is a bitch $400 a month

And the dodge water pump is a failure. $200

I'm working as fast as I possibly can. lol

And I'm going to confirm I have a job today.

Do not run SAX amps at less than 4 ohms bridged / 2 ohms stereo. They were not designed for that application. They put out PLENTY at rated impedance :)

wtf, $400/month. Maybe you shouldn't drive. That is more than my M5 for a year.

I think that's the point the insurance company is trying to convey. ;)

I have to ask what does your driving record look like?
