i just ordered my 12'' Q w/ the Bp option. I have a hifonics bxi1208d and i was wondering if the sub is going to take more power now that i got the option. I mean the option was free so i thought why the heck not. Is it going to be underpowered? I know hifonics is overrated but i dont have the cash for sundown, audioque, ect.

It should push it fine..

It can handle more power with the BP option, but it doesn't need more.

There is no such thing as "underpowering". There never has been and will never be. It is one of the biggest missconceptions in audio....

Your biggest problem will be the box, not the amp. I also wouldn't believe the AQ boner, you basically already have one.

nothing wrong with that amp, will push within 10% of its rated power, biggest thing is just not to get too gain happy and make it deliver a clipped signal. But plenty of clean power can come out of that amp to "push" a Q.
