Posted March 2, 200916 yr i just ordered my 12'' Q w/ the Bp option. I have a hifonics bxi1208d and i was wondering if the sub is going to take more power now that i got the option. I mean the option was free so i thought why the heck not. Is it going to be underpowered? I know hifonics is overrated but i dont have the cash for sundown, audioque, ect.thanks for the help!!
March 2, 200916 yr There is no such thing as "underpowering". There never has been and will never be. It is one of the biggest missconceptions in audio....
March 3, 200916 yr I'd also say that there is no such thing as "push"Your biggest problem will be the box, not the amp. I also wouldn't believe the AQ boner, you basically already have one.
March 3, 200916 yr nothing wrong with that amp, will push within 10% of its rated power, biggest thing is just not to get too gain happy and make it deliver a clipped signal. But plenty of clean power can come out of that amp to "push" a Q.
