I am going to build my box for the sub before it arrives but not complete it fully until I have made sure it fits etc.

Now I need some help with the dimensions.

I have this plan who someone sent to me and I am wondering if it should work pretty good.

Base is 24depthx24heightx36width

port is 5" wide and 27.25" long 22.5" height.

Is this correct with 8cu ft box and 1.77 cu ft port?

so 8cuft tuned to 32hz?

any input? anything will be gladly appreciated.

Also this is kind of off topic but I am planning on getting a cheap alpine deck. will this affect my sub output or quality?

That is about right. You should have some bracing in there also.

im going to run the port face the rear and the sub facing the roof. How could i support it?

Im personally running 8 cubes at 32hz and i love it. Make sure to brace it well, or your box will flex.

You could use All thread. Or 2x4"s

Dowels work well for bracing also.

i made port length 0 and it came out to 8.375. but didnt he say 27.25 for the length????

in the calc it comes to 30.5 port length tuned to 30.8hz

The rear portion is 4", the total port length is 27.25"

That box is just under 8 ft^3 tuned to just under 32 Hz. Should work great!

OH I GOT IT!!! OMG. i was changing the port length 2 to 27.25 without realizing i was suppose to make that into the total port length. MY BAD YOU GOT IT RIGHT
