I bought a ford supercrew yesterday..... about 3 weeks ago i bought 2 fi q 10s, i saw that it didnt require to much airspace for a ported. i went to a local box builder who makes awesome boxes and he laughed in my face when i told him ported is .6-1.2 well he said his not building and so im trying to get a plan b..... i found a site that has a 2.5 seat lift

and they make a sealed box that is .95 perside

i need some input if possible would this be good seat lift and the box sealed? r is there a way i can get this box and make it ported, that would be what i really want but idk to much about ported

well first off hes a geek but builds superrrr boxes, he laughed n my face when i told him .6-1.2 and mad me pretty mad he said if you can get me a ported box .6 with good results i wanna see it or whatever, and he said he wants to see the results, i wanted a downfire are upfire box with them in it ported, i no someone who has 2 8 probox ported with no seat lift so with a seat lift and the little amout these speaekers require i should have somehweres around .95 cu foot. but he told me well i will only put the speakers facing the front which is pointless cus the seat will be really high and u will have to duck.....

u can look at those 2 links a iposted with the seat lift the box for it is .95 cu per side, and u can get optional 6 14/16 mounting depth

does anybody thing seat lift with subs downfire are upfire whatever one will work??? thanks

i would do like a center counsel box. probly give you more cu. ft. for a ported....

downfired will work well sealed. If you have enough airspace I don't see why you couldn't do ported. Make sure you have at least 1.5 inches from the woofer to the floor. If this guy doesn't have enough experiance to know he can fire the subs up or down rather than forward, he doesn't need to build your box.

you wont fit ported under the seat. either sealed under or ported on top
