Posted April 11, 200916 yr I just put my dcon 12s in a sealed box in 1.25 cubes each and they are being powered by a Rockford Fosgate T500-1bd. I understand that they are not broken in yet. What's the difference in sound when they are broken in? So far they sound awesome and DO get loud sealed and let me tell you, these subs hit LOOOW. I don't regret sealing them at all. Another thing I immediately noticed about them is they have crazzy excursion. Way more than the JL Audio W3D4 12s and Orion P12s I used to have. Are you sure their Xmax is only 16mm lol? April 11, 200916 yr Admin Under normal play they will break in over a week or so. If you notice any change in sound it will be the bottom end opening up a little more as the suspension breaks in, same as with the Icon and Xcon. The excursion will be much more noticeable in a sealed enclosure.
