April 5, 200520 yr $400 isn't *that* great, in all honesty...for 400 one could pick up a QSC RMX1450...1.4kW at 4 ohms. Sure, you'd have to modify it to get rid of that fan noise, but hey...the smaller RMX850 goes for $300. I'm just female doging because I'm spending all my cash right now on the full range project and don't have enough left over for an amp, but still...

April 5, 200520 yr If I were to power the sub in the house, I'd be tempted to go with a little bit more power. I can surely deal with the fan noise from a QSC.A cool group buy, nonetheless.
April 5, 200520 yr Author as suggested to me: "One 1kw plate per coil"My response: "[NO], I like my 75gal fishtank that's near to the entertainment center"
April 6, 200520 yr the last thread in there says 330 shipped for the 1kW and 250 shipped for the 500 watter, that's the max rating though, still a good price, not sure if i can get one now since i am going for a good receiver first.
