April 21, 200520 yr Author Mike, do you have a best volume for sealed?teh recommended was .17ft^3...but after testing, i think .25ft^3 would probably be better..i'm going ot try to build the ported and larger sealed boxes this weekend..wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 21, 200520 yr Author Mike said 0.17 was the minimumi'll be looking forward to the new reviewsvi fu read back, i believe he also said it yeiled the flatest response..but i'll look it up to make sure as well...hopefully, those will be this weekend...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
April 21, 200520 yr Author Nice Kent! Yea the 0.17 cu ft is the smallest recommended enclosure size I'd give, but it will make for a very nice non-peaky flat frequency response until it starts rolling off. Generally, anywhere between 0.17 - 0.5 cu ft sealed on these should be great.tom, there ya go, from .17ft^3 to .5ft^3....in .17ft^3 it was really punchy and loud..but not as low as it could get...wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

April 21, 200520 yr $148 a piece, $135 a piece for two or more. Kent, 17 sq in of vent area sounds great.

April 21, 200520 yr .. for a clean graph of the Recommended RL-i 8 Vented Enclosures:Butterworth: 0.3 cu ft tuned to 35 Hz (magenta line)Enhanced Q: 0.24 cu ft tuned to 39 Hz (green dotted line)Damped: 0.26 cu ft tuned to 31 Hz (red dashed line)
April 22, 200520 yr hey mike...whats the cone area and xmax for those 8's ...i'm thinking about either six of those 8's or eight 8's in a bandpass box with an orion 2500 powering it80

April 24, 200520 yr Admin the charts add depth to the product, providing the viewer much more info right off the bat
April 24, 200520 yr Thanks for the compliments guys! The way the page has been setup it goes:Main Index --> Series Index --> Series/Driver InfoI figured that since I'm catering to DIY'ers, more information the better.. so I added a new level:Main Index --> Series Index --> Series Info/Driver Index --> Driver InfoUp here in the Bay area so I can't upload the Series Info/Driver Index page 'til I get back, but it looks very similar to the current Series/Driver Info pages, except with a link to the fleshed out Driver Info page instead of just pop-up links for the t/s & enclosure rec's as it is now. Hopefully this will cut down on my email load since more information will be readily available on site!

May 2, 200520 yr now he comes out with a super 8? yuh yuh mike ok just had to do it AFTER i bought mine GRRRR lol
May 2, 200520 yr Since I'm tired of having a huge 2^3 Net box for a single 12 I may try two 8's and these little monsters fit the requirement I believe. I think I'll try sealed, and if someone would like to sell me, or just be nice and create some box plans for two 8's let me know. I have an idea of how I want the box to look, I just need someone to do the calculations and create the box plans . But first, I will need to save up $270. buying new computer parts and wanting Car audio stuff =
