Ive also ordered the vinyl to cover the doors, and more power wire for later
May 22, 200916 yr Love the FG work. Keep the pics coming !Does the baby powder really help with reducing the itching ?
May 22, 200916 yr So do you cover the area you are going to sand with Baby Powder? Or do you put baby powder on your skin? Edit: Nevermind, read on fiberglassforums to rub it on your arms. I'll try that today. Edited May 22, 200916 yr by bobonit
May 22, 200916 yr Are you going to be bolting the baffle to the door somehow? That is an awful lot of mass an output potential to be on the door card...
May 22, 200916 yr Author Its going in an accordFor mounting it. ive had door panels that were heavy before that held good with the factory clips. But if it doesnt hold ill have to find another way. A question thought. How is everyone else gettin bigger speaker wire into their doors. Im havin touble findin a way. the harness that go the to door already doesnt have any extra room around it, and is hard to get too, unless i take my door off.baby powder helps alot for me. i make sure to get inbetween my fingers too. unless i were gloves.bobonit, Did you notice my cheese grater.haha
May 22, 200916 yr bobonit, Did you notice my cheese grater.hahaNo I didn't, just scrolled up and saw it, way cool. That would have saved me about 1/2 hour this morning. I just kicked up a shit load of turquoise colored dust with my 5" sanding disc !!!
May 22, 200916 yr Fritosaregood, I got a question for you. Is it just the reinforced filler that is real thick like that? I mean, when I apply the Rage Extreme, does it go on smoother or am I going to be doing the same routine, spread - grate - sand...I've never done this before, so its all new to me.

I got the point clearly, thanks. The Everglass is like a cookie dough consistency, hard to spread evenly, but my sanding disc took it down real quick. I could see the cheese grater working real good with it. I already have the Rage, so I'll see how that works as a last layer. Thanks again.
May 26, 200916 yr Author i finished up the parts for the tweeters. but dont have any pics of that nowim still waitin for vinyl too.I did get a delivery of wire, 50 ft of ground, 25 ft of red power, and 15 ft of blue power. and 500 ft of 18 gauge yellowmy dad took home a 1000 ft spool of 18 gauge speaker wire that im going to use with the yellow to wire up lights and relays.i also started running 14 gauge speaker wire to my doors. kinda sucked, i had to take off my tire, part of the inner fender things and drill though the doop and add some rubber grommets. and it started to rain while i was doin it.then the other doorIve usually been gettin tons of my work done on tuesdays, but when i took the wheels off i saw that i need new brakes. so thats gettin done tomorrow.

May 28, 200916 yr You are going to need WAY more than just the clips. I'd plan for it before doing your finish work.
May 28, 200916 yr Author You are going to need WAY more than just the clips. I'd plan for it before doing your finish work.i agree now that ive feel how heavy this thing is. Do you have any pics of ppl that have added bolts. and is it easy to hide them?

In your case it will be extra tough as you want to seal them to the door while being completely decoupled.
