Even a 250w amp will have enough power to push the xcon. There is no minimal power requierment for any speaker. If it plays loud enough for you with 500w, then 500w is plenty. The numbers are all examples.

u see what they rated the Xcon ....so try to match the amp and sub ...and whats your definition of "push" ...iam sure the sub will play pretty good off that amp :P

As Adrian was saying, there really is no such thing as under powering. If that is the amp you want (cringes at eD) , then go for it, plenty of power for daily listening for an Xcon.
