Posted June 3, 200916 yr Will this amp have enough power to push an Xcon sub ?http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.p...;products_id=44
June 3, 200916 yr Even a 250w amp will have enough power to push the xcon. There is no minimal power requierment for any speaker. If it plays loud enough for you with 500w, then 500w is plenty. The numbers are all examples.

June 3, 200916 yr Does the sub need the R.M.S to be Loud. EXAMPLE rms 1750Nope! Adrian explained why above!
June 3, 200916 yr Author I don't intend to overpower nor underpower the sub. lookin for optimum power level.
June 3, 200916 yr Author Thanks for the info.I didn't mean to be so harsh earlier. I know you guys are trying to help. PEACE!
June 3, 200916 yr the amp is fine if you want to compensate for the slight diffrence in power just make the box a bit larger.
June 3, 200916 yr Admin As Adrian was saying, there really is no such thing as under powering. If that is the amp you want (cringes at eD) , then go for it, plenty of power for daily listening for an Xcon.
June 4, 200916 yr I don't intend to overpower nor underpower the sub. lookin for optimum power level. And that has WAY more to do with your front stage than the sub, in particular in this case.
June 4, 200916 yr Admin anything with 750wRMS and up is enough for most people.Hope that helps put things into perspective.
