Posted June 4, 200916 yr if i'm correct the better the RCA the better luck you have with not getting road noise right? so i know the best brands are monster, kicker, and RF. do you think kicker 09z series are worth the extra few dollars or should you just go with the cheap scorche RCA's?
June 4, 200916 yr Incorrect. The better your grounding system, the better luck not getting "road" (commonly referred to as Alt wine) noise.
June 4, 200916 yr Personally I won't use the cheapest RCA's just due to low build quality. I have Knu ones in my car right now and I like them.
June 4, 200916 yr johnecon is right. Noise would be from a bad ground or having RCA's run next to the power wire.Buy the cheap RCA's unless you just need your install to look pretty for a car show.Spend the money you save on something else. : )
June 4, 200916 yr Proximity to the power wire doesn't cause noise.Crappy grounds do.The cheapest non-made like shit shielded RCA's are more than fine, anything more is a waste of money.
June 5, 200916 yr Good to know that. I always ran them on one side of the car and the power on the other side because every amp I ever bought said it could cause noise. Guess I should have actually done it myself before I offered that advice to others.
