Which one of these subs would give me the most bang

for the money. btw I'm only have 1200watts to play with. i also want it to sound

good as well.

if thats 1200 per sub i would go with the bl, personally. but as you said "for the money" the AQ subs are obviously cheaper. ive heard both, and both get plenty loud and you wouldnt be disappointed with either.

if thats 1200 TOTAL i would look into different subs....nothing wrong with underpowering, but if thats all the power you have you should consider a different choice of woofer(s).

Does the subs sensitivty makes any difference in output.

Example Fi Bl18 spl/94.1

AQ hdc3 18 spl/89.8

btw the amp underated 1200-1575ms

Sensitivity is efficiency, meaning based on just that factor the BL would be louder. But it isn't the only parameter you need to be looking at.

I personally would lean towards the BL, but that is my bias I guess. Regardless, it is a proven driver and was just recently upgraded. :)

Both are solid subs as I've built enclosures for a few BL's and numerous HDC's. HDC's will get plenty loud off 1200+ watts, just that they'll take 2k+ in the proper set up, so people assume that they "need" a lot of power.

Could also consider a Q as I run one in the GF's car off a Sundown 1500 and it sounds good and gets plenty loud for her.
