im thinking about being done with the idea of twelves all together what do you guys think one sundown 18 or two 15's can they handle two 3000ds strapped daily at 2 ohms. i wanna move some air they will be going in 88 delta, but i have a 92 honda accord also which i have thought about using i am wanting to get in to spl wich would be a good starting point.

In order to give you a better answer. What do you want your daily driver to be after you are all said and done?? With out any of this info I can tell you that if you are after a loud car your going to want as much cone area you can get ur lil hands on and all the other goodies to back up 2 3000ds

i can keep the 3000ds in the 13 14 volt range. its not a problem as far as that i know its so many classes and diff things in each one as far as batt size speaker amount and what not. what is a good class to start in

You can keep 6,000+ watts worth of amps above 13 volts, I gotta know what electrical system you have.

-Five yellow tops with 3/0 power and ground

-Two alternators one stock running car (one soon to be two cs 144 350 amp with Quicktifier Remote Rectifier System

adjustable regulator set at 15.5v with one run of 1/0 running stereo)

For two 3000s you would be better served with four subs to split that power up.

That's a serious setup. Where did you find 350 amp alts? Ambulances? I'm also surprised there was enough room under the hood. Pics?

But I'd also go with 4 subs, as Jacob mentioned. 3000 is twice the RMS of the Nightshade (If I understand correctly that that's what you're going with), and even if it could handle that much, there is diminishing returns with trying to squeeze every last watt into one sub. Less power compression with four.

what kinda air space would the 4 15 inch nightshades need. i wouldnt want to move up in speaker size if i cant get good box space

i build my own alt it cost me around 160 bucks to build that one alt i still have the 200 amp stator to use in another need to find a core i get em in the junk yard, for my honda i was going to build a cs 130 alt to around 140 amps with the iceburg kit. all with adjust regulators so i can choose my voltage. :bigclap:

Oh, I didn't realize those cars were RWD. You have a lot more room in there than if it was FWD like I thought!
