Im about to purchase 2 of these amps :) Just was curious if they have an unregulated power supply. Also was wondering as to the general difference, if any, between the SAE series and the SAZ series as may upgrade to a single SAZ-3000D in the next year or so. Any helpful reviews of this amp would be awesome as well:D.

The power supply is regulated. The SAE series aren't built like tanks as the SAZ series is, the SAE series is not recommended for competition.

lol not interested in doing competitions just yet. I was looking at good amp/s to run 2 dc lvl 4 (1000 W RMS) or possibly 2 lvl 4 xl's (1500 W RMS) for daily listening and able to get fairly loud:)...never tried sundown as locally only hear about stuff like kicker, fosgate, etc... so this will be a test run for me and maybe on down the road try my hand at competitions after I learn a bit more and have some more experience under my belt...

The SAZ series are a substantial upgrade in toughness and low impedance / high voltage stability.

The SAE-1200D is a great every day amp when set up properly.

another question if im not being too bothersome is whats the ideal voltage for this amp to run at since ratings were taken at 12.8...Would I be too wrong guessing around 14-15 volts?

where can i buy one of these right now?

there are two more left on ebay for $150! thats where i just bought mine!
