Posted July 6, 200916 yr okay i am a newb so lets keep any comments about me being a dumbass to a minimum. i have a 1991 mercedes benz s-class its a large car. i only have room for either 2 12"s or a 15". Any recommendations on what i should get. i can spend roughly 1000 for the sub/amp combination. i like the 15" SSA xCon or maybe 2 kicker l7 12's. i did like the Fi 15" Q but i read some reviews where people had durability issues. I am open minded to anything. Sound quality is somewhat important as i hate my friends 15" power accoustick P3. it is horrible. thanksDavid Edited July 6, 200916 yr by werstd12
July 6, 200916 yr Why don't you just go with a set of Q's or two twelve inch Bl's i have a fifteen and its only getting 800-900 watts rms and it absolutely pounds like no other, it only ran me around.. 320 or so? for a fifteen shipped to my door, but also here are some questions. Are you building your box yourself?sealed vs porteddo you have the electrical system to support a big stereoare you looking for just musical bass or over the top bass?if you're just looking for some nice bass you could go with a nice ten.
July 6, 200916 yr Admin Two ICON 12's & Sundown Audio SAZ-1500D cost $990 right now. Great package deal right there with all the SQ you'll ever need. FI is also a great product, either one will get the job done for you.
July 6, 200916 yr I Second Mark's Statement, I May Be A Fi Diehard, But That Damn Icon 10" I Put In My Dad's Jeep pucking Rapes And Sounds Great Doing It.
July 6, 200916 yr I have oxned both a Bl and now a Xcon, both 18's. I personally like the sq of the XCON over the BL, also it tends to get a shit ton louder, and sound much much better doing it.If you like a low note ground pounding sub I would recommend the XCON, or the icon. Like Mark said they have a great deal going on with 2 12"s and a saz 1500d.
