It was running happily at 1 ohm in mbh69s car when he had a XA3000D die for ice direct show. This is THE LAST USA-6000 to be producedSpecs from USAmps siteTwo Channel Class AB AmplifierTotal Power Output: 6000 Watts RMS3000 Watts x 2 into 1 Ohms6000 Watts Bridged into 2 OhmsTHD at Rated Power: 0.1%Signal/Noise Ratio: >105dBAFrequency Response: 5Hz-50KHzDamping Factor: >2500Fuse Rating: 900 AmpsDimensions:114mm / 4.50in High229mm / 9.0in Wide629mm / 24.75in LongWeight: 14.52kg / 32.00lbVariable 24dB Low-Pass Active Crossover Pictures are of my actual amp.I was under the impression old skool us amps where very reliable and solid how ever i have been told to be carefull running this amp as they are known to go pop!I paid alot of money for this amp while i was under the impression it was very solid to hear that they can go pop like this is worrying.Has anyone here any information regarding reliability.thanks
July 13, 200916 yr Any amp can go "pop" just don't abuse it and give it the electrical system it needs.
July 13, 200916 yr Any amp can go "pop" Especially if you run it way way below what it is stable. The manufacturer didn't rate the amplifier stable at a certain ohm load for nothing.
