Just like the title says does anyone have any first hand experience with the prototype TC Sounds LMT drivers. What were they like first hand? What size was it and what would you compare it to from your own experience? I am trying to figure out if the SS LMT is gonna really be a viable single woofer solution for me or if I should go with a dual setup of lesser woofers.

Thanks

Jerry

There are a few LMT proto's floating around somewhere.  I believe someone over on SD has one/some.  However, those will not be the same as the driver being offered by SS.

x2

there are like two-three ppl who have proto tc lmt drivers...and there isn't a bad thing said about any of them.

but like squeak said, they will be different then the ones marketed by SS

this might be for what was going to be an eD sub...maybe

the protos had around 48mm xmax and used a 3hp motor. The rl-s will have around 38mm xmax and use a 3hp motor. Oh, and they both utilize LMT! I almost forgot.

From what I have gathered it is NOT a 3HP, it is a custom tooled motor...

They sound very good, the best sounding woofer i've ever heard. Gets DOWN like a mofo too.....

If these sound anything like the prototype, you guys are in for a real treat.
