I like my RE MT 18"s, They sound pretty good and get deceltly loud on 1,000rms each.

But I have also seen MT's take 3500-4000 rms each on music and sound pretty good.

so i have narrowed it down to the re audio sx and mx ... i made up my mind and i will not be putting more than 1 saz4500 to these ... which would be the best choice ... i really like the looks of the re mx but obviously that is not as important as performance ... i want a hybrid between output and sound quality ... which would you choose?

Edited by Lucky 76

You have 2 sets of 6.5 comps for 4500 watts on 4 18's???

Those must be killer comp sets!!! :)

Lol

I'd love to have a wall of sub like that behind me !!!

You do NOT want sound quality. Don't even begin to say you do. Ever again.

read my definition of sound quality ... sound quality can be used in many way ex the sound quality of an exhaust can either be loud and grunty or it can sound quiet and smooth =)

Your definition is stupid. If you aren't referencing your front stage you AREN'T talking about sound quality. Even if you were you are going to have severe hearing damage within the next six months so you might as well say fuck it from the first place. Speed is NOT an issue with any quality sub....but go ahead and buy the overpriced RE stuff.

Can you take a moment and really lay out your goals and not use descriptors like SQ. By taking a more analytical approach might be the best way, instead of setting constraints and trying to fit to them.

will do ... replace my sound quality with sounds good

just do use sound quality or sound good especially on this forum since thats what these products are meant to be. if your getting 4 18"s you will not get sound quality or whatever (your just gonna get loud ass an explosion), they will sound good if your install is excellent and you have reputable equipment. Most people are just trying to get you to understand regardless if you want : re subs, ssa subs, sundown subs, ia subs; they will all do what their supposed to do in an enclosure like you want play bass all day long. I think you should fix all the problems you have with your system first, then see how it sounds to determine if you want to upgrade or if your comfortable with what you have now.

it's not the sub, it's the install design. I can't see any of these subs not "keeping up" with any music out there.

Also, when i say comp oriented, i mean they are more geared for in the lanes for taking abuse and gettin u little bit higher numbers.

If u wanna leave the option of runnin 9000w of power, hehe, u can scratch every single one of those off the list except for the HDC3s.

You would be lookin in another line from all companies.

You would want 2000wrms per sub.

HDC3 Aluminums is what u would want from that list.

IA DPs

FI BTL

RD Audio Elite

Pierce Audio WMD2

Crossfire XS

Sundown Nightshades

SSA XCONs

Treo Engineering SSX

RE Audio MX

Some of these lines may not have 18s, i cant remember, just off top of my head.

ALSO Cascade designs omega i been throwing 3400 rms at it for a while now

Edited by The Storms

yea that too. I knew of the Omega but i couldnt find what company made it.
