Posted September 4, 200916 yr well... ive decided its time for my new truck to get a sub or two. I want to get something thats relatively cheap and can produce more bass than my last sytem. I recently sold my 01 extreme blazer. I was running 2 15 inch l7s with a 1200 watt monoblock audiobahn amps. My new truck is an 04 extended cab 1/2 ton chevy. Im going to pull the back seat soon so i will have plenty of room for a box. I dont have money trees in the back yard so id like to keep it pretty low cost =) my ideal set up would be 2 12s i think. if anyone could turn me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. thank you, austin
September 4, 200916 yr Author okay after reading a little more i figured i should probably elaborate more if i want a good answer. i need something that is pretty universal when it comes to music. i listen to a lot of well... everything! Im looking to spend roughly ....$800 on subs? im not trying to set car alarms of a couple blocks away. just something that i can really feel when it hits. once again thank you, austin

What electrical upgrades have you done to your vehicle? What amp will you be using or dont know as of yet?
September 4, 200916 yr Author right now im working with an empty canvas. just trying to get some baseline ideas.
September 4, 200916 yr Have you looked at any subs lately, what did you like or curious about. Check out SSA Icons, FI Q or BL, DC Level 4, Incriminator Audio Lethal Injections or Flatlynes, etc.
September 4, 200916 yr Also check out the AudioQue Hdc3 subs. www.audioque.com Theyre amazing for the price. Im giving mine 4000 wrms, so 2k wrms each and they are fine, barely get warm.

There are so many subs out there in the world! But with 800 for the subs, you can have quite everything!!!!!!!!I can tell about L7, SSA Icons, and SSA Xcon : I have heared them all in 15'.The Icon is really great; you can't even compare it to the L7! The only L7 I liked were in huge boxes(6ft3 sealed). But the Xcon is fantastic : it gives everything you need (quality, AND big big big output) I love it !!!!!!!
