One of my friend wants something to power his Xcon (in a 3.5ft3 net ported box).

He wanted a Sundown 3500 D, but there are some really good deals on some 3000's.

Do you think a used(from Sundown) or a refurb(from Db-r) 3000 can give the sub all the power it needs ? I think the 3500 is "better", but more expensive too !

How can they be compared ?

BTW what to you think about used or refurbished amplifier ? I live in a Hot island (30° C all year long) so the ampp must be reliable. I would not like to send any amp back to the USA, shipping is about 200$ !!!

Refurbished from dB-R are as good as new.

I would actually suggest to strap two SAZ-1000D @ 2 ohms for the Xcon.

ok for the 2 saz 1000 strapped. My friend will go with that for its Xcon 15. That should make the sub hit even more!!!!!!!!

Don't send them by USPS : it's too long, and when you pay for UPS you really don't want USPS! See what I mean ??!!

Indeed -- I accidentally sent USPS last time as I had a big batch of stuff going USPS.

I received my Icon with USPS. The wait is just longer, but that's all ! When the amp leaves the USA, you have no more tracking : it arrives like a surprise!!!!!!!!!!

I don't want any other amplifier in my car ; I am confident.

And my good friend, the Xcon owner, saw so much Sundown amps on SSA, he absolutely wanted one for his sub !!!

He has now a good italian amp ( Impact car audio 2800 w) he will sell easily!

I've just pulled the trigger for 2 saz 1000D and a tee shirt!!!

I hope to get them by the end of next week.

I am waiting for UPS tracking numbers now.
