after i sealed it up with silicone the first time the weird noise stopped but there is a noise thats back again.

at higher volumes my low bass drops off severely and it makes this crazy noise.

Scratch that, I figured out the problem.

Original baffle is retarted, screws go in around the speaker but strip because they aren't grabbing the wood.

So I'm going to pick up half-sheet of mdf tomorrow for a double baffle.

Should fix my problem, thanks for looking though.

Also have to watch some sealants, as some shrink over time and reveal the hole again.

apparently gorilla glue is really good for binding wood together

It's not recommended, it expands a lot when curing and Titebond is much better as it is made for wood.
