Posted May 24, 200520 yr Admin Sunday night I had tickets to U2 at the Wacovia center in Philadelphia. Amanda had never been there, and since we are about 2 hours in traffic (1:25 at night no traffic). Keep in mind we took her civic DX, and I was fairly reserved in my driving which is a change. But anyway, since she had never been there I thought it would be a great experience to go up early and walk around town and see a few places before the concert. We got a later start than planned but, we walked well over 4 miles around down town. As you will see in the following pictures that the weather was awesome. We went through much of the historic distric and had a great lunch outside, I love takeing her to places she has never been to. We went into some nice shops, but much of town was closed due to it being sunday, but that kinda kept the crowds to a minimum which you can see. You will see the grave yard where the boy from the movie The Sixth Sense was seen, along with the Liberty Bell, a sweet lunch, city hall, independance hall (part of National Treasure was shot there), a Lotus Elise, the center for performing arts, and a down the street shot in the arts district. I am sorry for some of quality of the pictures, I was fighting with the light a little at the begining, but ended up pushing everything auto because I was more worried about having a nice time instead of trying to get the perfect picture. So these are more or less snap shots from the day walking around downtown, enjoy.
May 24, 200520 yr sweet pics Aaroni love how you included the Elise and the beer with all the historical stuff
May 24, 200520 yr Your pics came out great...really makes me want to visit Philly... what kind of camera are you using??
May 24, 200520 yr Author Admin Your pics came out great...really makes me want to visit Philly... what kind of camera are you using??I have an Olympus C-3000 Zoom, a few years old, but a solid camera by all accounts, when i crank it up the pictures of breath taking, but they dominate the card space espically when in .TIFF format, I would like a slightly smaller camera to slide into my pocket for snap shots of this sort, I would have normally taken my massive Richo manual but I did not want to lug it around nor did I have the right film
May 24, 200520 yr I use a Olympus C-60 Zoom. It is a bit fuzzy at times..and I mainly use it for quick shots, but it is a very nice, compact size. When it wants to be, its a great little digicam. The newer Nikon Coolpix models are also pretty small and take excellent images.
May 24, 200520 yr Elise looks very nice, what type of beer is that, im no conesuier (sp?) but arent only a few exotic (and expensive) beers that dark...i bet it has a great mault taste.

May 25, 200520 yr The best light beer IMO...bit light, chit, natural light, chit, coors light, chit, miller light, chit, should i go on...i mean at least you can get a buzz off of Carona.
May 25, 200520 yr I'm just giving you a hard time. I've never actually tried Corona Light, Coors light is about the only "light" beer I can handle in that category.
May 25, 200520 yr I'm afraid to ask. Although back in around 1987-1990 I hope you guys didn't drink any Coors products.
