Ok I have a friend gettin two alpine mrp2000 amps each pushin about 2248wrms at 2 ohms and hes running that to two alpine Type X 12s.. Now me being me I just wanna 'keep up and surpass' him and Im gettin 2 BTL 12s with a Sundown 3500D but I dont have either yet.. Will my car still be louder?

p.s. I plan to have 2.5^3 for each sub and tuned to about 35hz

Well I use this site plus some very reliable sources, and that guy uses sources that tell him 86% eff amps suck and lower Hz are used for competitions.. so I think I have a better backing. And Im working on the big3, 2 batts with 0ga all the way, he has stock elec and a 5F cap.. I think Ill win.. but yea, just askin you guys

Personally if your not louder than him, than you shouldnt be in car audio at all. Just my .02

fi btl output numbers > alpine type x output numbers. there would be very few, if any instances that type x's would dominate btl's. theres not really any typial scenarios where there would be enough variables for a type x to beat a btl in output. people that say that bullshit are just dumb and are scared to be wrong. maybe with 2 similar woofers, but a btl will dominate the type x in output in your case. im willing to put money on it.
