Hey so i want to tune my box to 32 hz. but i am confused on how this whole box design works. the previous systems that i have had i just bought boxes, but this time i want to build my own. i drive a jeep cherokee so i have plenty of room in the back end for a big box. will someone please give me the exact measurements of the port, width, height, length, and any other measurements i would need! that would be soooooooo awesome! thanks.

or even better email me a sketch with all the measurements on it. my email is [email protected]

NO but if you use the search button and read around a little ,you will find it all on here. :fing34:

first you should see what your woofer's recommended box specs are, then you can measure your "trunk" space in your jeep to see how much space you are working with, then you can use RE Audio's Ported Box Calculator.

You can play with the figures on the calculator to your likings as far as your trunk size and still keep the woofer specs in mind!

Glad you could join us.

Read the noob posting guidelines before posting again. How can someone give you measurements if they dont know what area its fitting in, everybody on this forum does not drive a jeep cherokee. Give us more info: what amp will this be powered by, what are the max dimensions to work with, etc., etc.?

You could just do what exxd and porkchop said to do above.

1 12" Fi Btl sub. Dual 2 ohm, fully loaded. Brand new. (I have not purchased it yet, but when I do, this is what I am going to buy)

Wheel well to wheel well is about 42 inches.

Back seat to back door is about 25 inches due to my seat coming out at an angle. (I lose about 8 inches)

The floor of the back end to the roof is about 38 inches.

The floor to the top of my backseat is about 18.5 inches.

Here are some pictures that I took of the available space. I hope it gives you a better idea.
