Ok go easy on me fellas. For the past 4 or 5 months my Bl 18 has been in a wooden box without paint or any covering. So Saturday I decided to paint my box. So I painted the box black. Then I wanted to get creative. So I chose my colors to be black and gold. I tried to paint my dustcap but I messed up and now I need another one, but I was wondering if I could get my new dust cap in my custom color. Now this is a thread made for helping not talking down on. My sub works fine the dust cap just looks like crap. Oh yeah I already admitted my mistake and learned from it. Please offer advise and don't state the obvious.

I think you can order new dust cap.

idea:

paint the dustcap fully black so you have a blank canvas to work with (try peeling of the Fi sticker off the dustcap

then get one of the small Fi stickers off the site if you don't have any

then either stick the new sticker on and wha-la

or you could paint the sticker gold or whatever without it being on the actual dustcap... then just stick the sticker on

One Way To Get The Dustcap Off Is To Just Smack It With A Hammer Or The End Of Something, (In The Middle.) Then Pulling It Off Around The CA Joint.

Just Make Sure Not To Get Any Crap In The VC Gap.

Or Just Do The Aforementioned that mbarber25 said, Just Don't Do It So Much That You Add Mass Or Deform The Dustcap.

I would think the more you paint it, the more it would add weight to the dust cap. Wouldn't that mess with the sub eventually?
