I've been looking at the Lanzar OPTI1233D series subwoofers.

Specs:

* Auto speakers feature custom tooled die-cast aluminum basket

* Car subwoofers feature black laminated pulp cone

* Oversized 2-inch foam surround

* Dual 3-inch high temperature voice coil

* Three (3) 125-ounce high density barium ferrite magnets

Specifications:

* Power: 3,000 watts RMS/6,000 watts peak

* Frequency response: 50Hz to 300Hz

* Impedance: Dual 1.2 ohms DVC

* Efficiency: 87dB (1W/m)

I thought Lanzar was usually pretty crappy but these actually look like non-mainstream woofers.

if they are any good for 290 dollars they're not very bad.. if they actually handle that much..

x2, yeah to me it looks like they will suck on the lows (well from 50Hz on down they cant play). This is I guess what you will call a SPL sub with no musical bone in its body.

i have the 15 and they suck hairy balls dont get one for 290 go get fi or audioque or somethin better. they have worst response. worst suspension. everything is just so cheap

a 3000 watt rms sub for $290. Doesnt sound like a good idea. I live in houston and lanzar is a flea market brand

It may be good for spl competitions, and to destroy your car.:)

But 50 hz : wow!!!

For sure it's not a musical sub!!!!!!
