That would be cool. I've always wanted to work for a company like Sundown or Fi or something.

Yeah, i want to hear this. I am planning, for sure, to work in the audio field. I was thinking engineering, electrical/mechanical. lurk.gif

be ready for a shit load of math if your thinking engineering

I'm tearin it up, i am doing algebra 2 over the summer (not to make up, just so its easier to remember for senior year.) Next year, its pre-calc + physics

I wished I had a good memory. I killed every math class I have ever had until numerical methods. I forgot everything in all my calculus classes that I aced. Numerical is the first math class I have had a final grade less than a B+.

Does electrical/mechanical have a shit ton of math?

But is it basic algebra or do I actually know how to factor? I can not even begin to express to you how much I suck at factoring.

O, if you're scared about factoring. lol. This is all you will be doing in engineering math. :suicide-santa:

FML.

What are my other options if I wanted to work for one of those companies.

there is a school here in houston, tx called the acoustic edge. all they do is car audio, fabrication, upolstry, fiberglass training, home theatre, and home alarms.

No problem. not sure, but I think they also will pay for you to get MECP certified if you do the audio courses

Ok I like the sound of that, everybody is paying for people to get training now days.

Personally, I just want to learn how to make my own subwoofer. I think that if nothing else, I could be a homeless person and build subwoofers all day.

I went to acoustic edge in Houston. I looked into many other schools before making my decision. Acoustic edge is by far the BEST school to go to if you want to go to school for car audio. Also their was a guy who went to that school in Florida at acoustic edge with me. He said the installer institute in Florida was worthless and he didn't learn anything. As for getting a job after school. It is encredibly easy because shops are calling the school every day looking for people coming out of the school. If you want to go to school for this go to acoustic edge.

also if anyone has any questions about the school don't be scared to PM me. I will be more than happy to answer them
