Posted November 19, 200915 yr What I planned on doing is glueing a layer of plexiglass over the top of painted mdf. I want it to dry clear so there will be no glue marks. Is there anything out there that can do this? I have looked and all I could find was plexi to plexi glue. Any finds would be greatly appreciated.
November 19, 200915 yr Author I dont want to join plexi together. I just want to glue the plexi ontop of the painted mdf and I want the glue to dry clear so I cannot tell it is there. Thank you for looking though.
November 20, 200915 yr NO, the silicone will show through the plexi. You'll either have to use a clear epoxy resin, but this may melt the paint, or paint the back of the plexi the color you want, then adhere to the wood.
November 20, 200915 yr you could maybe, spread the silicone glue out so you dont see a bead.Naw that wouldnt work because that is what I was thinking about but since he has the painted wood it would still show up (even though the silicone is clear its not invisible and I think the OP wants an invisible like substance).
November 20, 200915 yr Author i havent painted the wood yet. I ordered a florescent green plexi that will be glued to the port. If I dont pain the mdf will it look stupid?
