I have an 02 Escort with the stock Alt. and Big 3 in 1/0 gauge. I'm getting an Fi SSD 15" D2 and a US Amps XT1600.2 very soon.

First off is this a good match?

I have been doing research for months on both items and am pretty set on booth (for price, performance and appearance).

I also have an Alpine 3553 and 3527 which together only really produce around 200-240WRMS so add that to the XT and I'll probably see between 7-900wrms.

Does that seem like to much for mostly stock electrical? Should I add a second batt.? I really don't want to have to.

Glad you could join us :wavey5:

It depends on what size your stock alternator is, hook everything up and buy a voltmeter. Once your out jamming, watch your voltage and if you dont have any drops then your good and if you do then go buy another battery.

Sweet Thanks, 2 more weeks and then I should have enough for everything, I'll let you know how it goes.

for sure you never kow till you get it all bumping!!! but it is critical to keep an eye on the voltage! so get a voltmeter and wire it up in parellel and never go below 12 or you will risk killing your amp! and don't forget to fuse! lol! here is the voltmeter i own, i got it off of ebay for about 20$ about 1year ago
