MTX amps are usually good solid amps, the only way to tell is to hook it up to see if works and does what you need it to. What speakers are going on the amp?

thanks for the reply..well im going to give it to mjy nephew im thinking of getting him 2 12 dcons or 2 12 mtx 7500 thats what mt cuzn ran it on,never heard the dcons thoe.

It is a nice amp, not sure about 250 bucks nice though. They played a little bit of a ratting game with those though. The 800 watts is a dynamic rating @ 14.4V and they also have the ratting of 500W RMS @ 12.5V. I had/have one that worked quite well.

I wouldnt say its a straight trade for $250 though.

Yeah your cousin ripped you off just so he wouldnt have to pay you $250 and you fell for it :Doh:
