I've heard many good things about Fi subs and have heard a couple in person. I was just wondering which one I should get. Price wise I have about $400 to spend on the sub. I listen to an equal mix of rock and rap. I was wanting a 15 that would sound good on both types of music. More than likely I will be powering it with a hifonics 1200 rms amp but I have been looking at some Kicker amps also. I am open to opinions so just shoot one at me. thank you for you're time. Also opinions on which amp to get would be welcome too, I'm not set on the hifonics or any kicker amp. About $400 is my limit for the amp

you could get a saz-1500d right now for $425 and you could get a fully loaded BL 15 for about $325 and your still about $50 under your total budget.

if you haven't done any electrical upgrades yet then you should consider doing atleast the big 3 before trying to run a system like this.

A little more information would be nice to get like what kind of car you have and the room you have for a box.

Haven't done the big three yet cause I'm startin from scratch on this car. I'm gonna do 0gauge stinger wire, kinetik hc1400 for my batt. (or maybe the hc1800), alt. upgrade is gonna come soon after that.I'm gonna put a 10 farad stinger cap on as well. I drive an 89' chevy caprice classic so box dimensions aren't really a problem except for the height. Gonna have a prefab box until I can get my custom one made. Any suggestions for the alt and box demensions would be great as I'm fairly new at this.

Would the cap be useless with these upgrades?

Yeah it would be useless, just make sure you get a voltmeter also and install it in sight so you can keep up with your voltage.

will do. thank you for that lil bit of info. Any other suggestions would be welcome. I'm lookin at 4x6 jbl power series for my fronts and 6x9 jbl power series for my backs with a jbl 2 ch 120w amp to power my backs. should I go with a 4ch amp and power all speaker or stick with the 2ch for my backs

I'd personally just get a high powered component set and forget the rears. Build you a box too, don't throw no damn Fi in a prefab.

go on dB-r Electronics for cheaper sundown amps. you can get the sae1200d for 217 but it depends on which sub your getting
