i was wondering if any one could give me some input on what they think good components are other than focal

Budget? Goals? Amps?

We need more info to help you out!

Why not spend some time and audition as many differen't speakers as you can? Only your ears will be able to tell you what sounds good to you!

amp is going to be the sax 100.4 going on a mazda millenia with 2 sa-8 subs on a sae 1200d just looking for really clear sound out of the speakers not really doing any type of competitions just an overall good sounding system

I assume your looking for components? If so the Access line from Focal is a great option. Personally never heard them but people on here have recommended the Phoenix Gold RSD series components.

are the focal's to harsh in the tweets? if so look for a silk tweeter like morel supremo at the high end. in the middle is Polk sr and momo and at the bargin end is cadence z series and phoenix gold rsd. me i think the cadence is a little better then the phoenix golds. but every one is a critic .

if there not to harsh thats good, for most the composite tweet of focal are to harsh and if you had the cash they would say go morel supremo 3ways or at least i would. dd's i do not hear much about except there subs which are are good i hear.

I have a comp set of Memphis (see sig for info) and they sound very good to my ears, morel are fantastic but thats if you wanna spend 500+ a set, polk sound nice for the price. Personally i think MB quart DSH 213 sound good for the price too.

If you just want recommendations then go through all the same topics as this one and read through every single one of them. This is getting very redundant when people dont even want to search for there answer when it is there in front of them. SEARCH, please (there are about 30 topics on this within these last few months).

My recommendation is the same as others you gotta go out and listen to some yourself, everybody has different taste in there sound. But you dont give us a budget to work with to know what to offer and what not, you didnt tell us your tweeter preference (soft dome, hard dome, cone, horn etc.), what goals or sound your geared towards?

Easy bro. Hes just saying literally there has been 30 topics about this. It gets kind of annoying. If you search this forum you can find probably 1000 topics about which components people have and like.

He is not being an a hole or rude, he is just saying we do have a search option and you can find plenty of threads that have went over this discussion.

I am getting to the point if I read another one of these threads.... :suicide-santa:

hope you understand.

ps. let me know how yours turns out cuz I am getting that 4 channel amp soon. I have phoenix gold components. They are a great bang for the buck.

The bad thing about it is I gave you the best suggestion, you will get more results from looking through the old threads like this then waiting on people to reply to you.

well i listen to.. really every type of music i like a lot of rock and rap and r&b so im looking for some components that just have good clarity sound. my goal is i want a system that i can just play anything and just sound amazing. im not looking for the best system out there cuz obviously im not gona have that.

as far as budget .. just not stupid priced i would be willing to spend 600 on a good set of components as long as they are worth the money (meaning i dont want to spend 600 on some focal speakers when i know there are some out there cheeper and better )

Yea I have heard of them being good SPL subs. But I don't know about component speakers. I would go listen to speakers at a high end car audio place. I am sure they have something around you. That is seriously the best way to get the idea of what you like/want.

For all we know you would like metal dome tweeters versus silk dome cuz your ears like it and it isn't that harsh for you. So again the best thing is to go listen. I don't want someone telling you something THEY like because you might not like it and not be satisfied. You want to get something that your going to be happy with for along time versus doing what I did and go through 4 component speakers and I coulda saved all that money and bought a 800 dollar component set haha.

well thats my problem any of the good audio stores in town ther idea of a good component is focal the only other one worth even mentioning in town would be treo engineering and i really dont want to get them (long story) so thats why im looking for suggestions so i can maybe find them by brand in town or find someone that has them and try them out

check these out, they're cheap and good

http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-DB6501-6-5-Inch-Component/dp/B000P0R6LQ

only 100 dollars a set

those look really good thank should i put a set of components in the rear of the car also or just 2 ways ?

that is a good set of speaker i hear but have not heard them personally . any ways as for the second set are they going in the rear deck or in the door. i know you know every say they distract you wile driving or etc etc... for surround sound experience you got to have them . but if you wanted to do just the fronts for sq purposes that's fine with people to cause the rear deck speaker most of the time sound like crap. because when the bass hits this causes the cone to hit peak xmax and they sound like crap but if you feel the rear pasengers need music then more the merrier. if not why bother but it is up to you usually i find the hole space is not filled with treble / mid bass. because it blocked by seats and people and gives me a funny feeling that some thing is missing. so usually i do surround sound so do not feel it's missing.
