Speakers in the right enclosure will be loud and sound good, not a good way to describe what you want. We need better goals than that to help you out.

Cone area usually plays a role in louder than low clean bass (that will be achieved with the sub in the right enclosure tuned to your listening preferences). The only way to really tell is to buy both sets off subs and test them yourself, but if it were me I would go with the FI SSD's. I did hear the Audioque's do get loud though.

What is the internal volume of your enclosure and tuning frequency?

What is the internal volume of your enclosure and tuning frequency?

its about 2.8^3 after displacments tuned to 36hz

It sounds like tuning may be an issue with it being 36hz, since you say it may be lacking some lows. I would try a lower tuning on a new enclosure first since that will be the cheapest upgrade.

mind designing a center console box for me that is 16w X 39L for me to try this?

Talk to shizzzon or one of the custom fabricators on here; they, (at least shizzzon will), make you a design for free.

Im pretty sure myself and others wont mind helping you out. What is the height that you have available and the tuning frequency that you want to shoot for this time, is this for both 10" HDC3's?

Shizzzon charges for designs and cuts, the last time I checked.

lets try somwhere around 32-33hz and the hieght is what ever you need as long as its not more the 16w and 38 long to be safe

If you want lows tune below 30 Hz.

I just designed you one that is 3.01 Ft.3 after port and sub displacements with 36.25 In.2 port area tuned to 29.50 Hz.

It is a slot port, in the enclosure.

Do you think he really needs to tune that low? From what I have been told and seen myself, the HDC3s tuned around 36-38Hz still dig the lows.

He said his current enclosure is tuned to 36 Hz. and he wants it lower.

How can you say this but in your topic you made recently you say they dont dig the lows well, your contradicting yourself now.
