I'm getting a 12" Fi BTL fully loaded dual 1 and I'm trying to find out if how i've wired my Q and BL in the past is right or not. I have a Clarion DPX11551 that's doing 1600 rms @ 2ohms. Before I wired the sub with the positive from the amp to one coil and then the negative from the amp to the other coil and then the negative from the other coil to the postive on the other coil. Is that how it should be wired to get a 2 ohm load? And is it possible to get a 1ohm load from a dual 1 sub?

With one D1 sub you can only wire it to a half ohm, or 2 ohms. If you wanted to run the amp at 1 ohm you shouldve got a D2 BTL.

I'm not looking to get my sub wired to 1ohm my buddy is getting a 12" BL and the hifonics 1600d which does 1600 @ 1ohm. So I have been wiring mine the way it should cool thanks for the reply. Do you have a schematic on how to wire a D2 BL to 1ohm?

Next time search and look up subwoofer wiring diagrams (there a lot on the internet):
