April 14, 201015 yr Author I got the 10" holes cut in the doors. A had to move the electric window motor alittle. I also rearranged the wiring harness.The right door before removing the metal.....heres the drivers door....Here is where the electric window motor is originally......This is a picture with the motor moved up about an inch and a half. The top circle shows where the bolt use to be.....Heres the finished hole.....As always I am SUPER BUSY with life so I am always happy to get a little more done. I hope to test fit the Aura's today. THEY are going to be one tight fit, I can tell already.
April 14, 201015 yr Author Here's a picture of my new front stage. NOw thats a wicked front set-up. Hehe.Here's some comparision pictures of the Type-r 6 1/2" mid and the Aura 10"mid.the cone veiw.....the motor veiw......A side veiw.....The Type-r is no slouch compared to most 6 1/2" drivers, but will never have the midbass of a 10". I am stoked.
April 14, 201015 yr Author I went to the upholstery shop and found another vinyl I think I will use this time. The color match better, but not the grain texture.The small piece on the left is the last stuff I used, the piece in the middle is my a-pillar.Here's the piece I cut off the door.The old stuff has the same texture as the car and gives that three tone look. If I don't like the lighter stuff when I am, done I will switch back.

I just started working on them again this morning, SO progress pics probably today.Also I am getting two door packs of Damplifier Pro from the brown santa any minute, which is the only other real hold up.

April 18, 201015 yr Author I slowly am getting the pods done, heres a few pics.....Some resin......Here is the placement and aiming of the dash pods.....As you can see THEY are both on-axis with the drivers seat, I think they should stage gOod.Heres a pic of the back side of the baffle, I honed them out SO the driver could breathe.

April 19, 201015 yr Author the dash pods are about 8" x 4" x 4" with the slope following the windshield line.this is a shot of the bottom sides....you can see where the vent hole will be, this vents into the factory tweeter hole.....heres the vent hole cut out.....this is the right pod, because of the angle of the speaker, I had to form this bump imto the pod to clear the magnet....NOW the test fitting.....
April 19, 201015 yr Author heres some progress pics of the door pods....NOW the test fit....I need to do one more layer of fabric and resin, then some body filler, then the vinyl!!!!!! Then I can install MY new drivers!!!!!!!!!!
