April 30, 201015 yr Author great build. 5*'s every time i come in here i get inspired to do something crazy haha but then i get scared. Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy building things and once I get over the fact its not going to be done on any set day or time, just is going to get done when I finish it, THEN I can enjoy the build part. I also enjoy inspiring People by showing EVERY step so anyone considering a larger project can realize it takes ALOT of TIME and PATIENCE, BUT pays off in the end.BTW The MID-BASS shall be EPIC!!!!!
April 30, 201015 yr Holy fuck! and i thought my front stage is good! I want to hear it when its done! haha amazing work man, amazing! :fing34:
April 30, 201015 yr How's that midbass going to be again? Just messin' with ya J-Road....build looks great. Can't wait to hear it one day.
May 1, 201015 yr Author this needs to be renamed to ...EPIC MID-BASS BUILD!!!Sounds good to me, but I can't figure out how to change the topic tittle? The MIDBASS shall be EPIC!!!!!
May 8, 201015 yr Author I have one pod wrapped and mounted, but need to pull it off to do some final adjustments on the vinyl. The vinyl is a mutherfucker to wrap without having a seam. I wrapped the one pod by myself and it took 2 hours. I think the second one will go easier with my wife helping, 4 hands instead of two, we will see? The next option is to just paint them and say fuck the vinyl, we will see?I have pictures of the one installed I will post later.
May 9, 201015 yr Author ugh, at the moument I am EPICly sick.Anyways here's the pics as promised.Me doing some bondo.the vinyl being installed.installed on the door.installed in the car.the above pic shows the spot I had to readjust in the vinyl. Its funny that in different light the pods match differently.the next pic probably show the color best.I had to pull the pod back off an adjust the vinyl some more. I had the wife help the second time with the vinyl and everything went alot smoother.
May 9, 201015 yr That looks frckn' great. 10" in the doors, WOW! How's the clearance with the seats? I'm picturing it now-EPIC!!
May 10, 201015 yr Nice vinyl work. Your patience is greater than mine Really going to rock and it looks like the time can be soon. I've heard of mlv, but not llp. What is it? I'm guessing very similar or a different name for the same thing?Over priced generic MLV sold by Ant. Works just fine, but so does ANY MLV.
May 10, 201015 yr Pods look great! The wrap job on the vinyl must have been crazy to do by yourself, I'm very impresssed. Wanna wrap my a-pillars when I get them done? At least you got some extra hands the 2nd time around to help it go smoother. I'm going to have to agree with ya.....THE MID-BASS SHALL BE EPIC!!!! Keep up the good work!
May 10, 201015 yr That is sexy as fuck! Great job man! Respect. Cant wait to see it finished.Yes, the midbass will be epic and I am very jealous, damn it!
May 10, 201015 yr Author Thanks for all the LOVE guys!!! I can't wait to have the front stage installed, BUT I am incapable of hurrying.I am using the 3M super 77 glue on the vinyl, which works pretty good but I wonder if there is something out there thats better for my application? Does ANYONE know of a better glue with higher bonding strenght than the 77?????

Does ANYONE know of a better glue with higher bonding strenght than the 77?????Well I searched the web via Google and the uphostery guys said to use the high temp 3m glue, as the temp is what makes the regular 3m super 77 let go. I found this 3m high temp glue so I will be buying some for the rest of the pods. Especially for the dash pods, because they will see alot of temperature changes.http://www.napaonline.com/Search/Detail.aspx?R=MMM08090_0006436287
May 10, 201015 yr You can learn a lot about uphostery on a fiberglass forum, i'm sure you can get A LOT of tips to help you with the pods there.
