how could this have happen? i have 2 sa-12's the other one looks ok but i don't know. the amp i had was a sae-1200d. if you need more info let me know.

no was not cracked when i got it. i got it back in 2009. the box is 10h 30w30D tuned to 31.

Did you get it new or used ?

The frames don't just break for no reason -- it may have had a small hairline crack in it initially and just broke with time.

got them new from ssa Order Date: 14th Oct 2009 Ship Date: 28th Dec 2009.

Few possibilities :

1) Could have had a tiny crack that you didn't notice initially - if one leg cracks the others are soon to follow.

2) The box may be flexing quite a bit which can eventually break a frame.

3) If the screws come loose then the sub jumping around a bit can crack the frame.

Or any combination of those.
